We operate an upscale restaurant on Abbott Kinney and For us, our wifi is our lifeblood as our POS is all tablets, so we really wanted someone we could trust to deliver a great solution, and support us in the longer term. So we were having major network/wifi issues on a Friday afternoon heading into a busy weekend. We called Brian in for a consultation and all I can say is wow. He looked around at a few things, took out his laptop and plugged it into our network, and within 15 minutes had the situation diagnosed.  He described the solution being a combination of cloud-managed APs, a commercial router, and a commercial POE switch. I asked him how long it would take and he said “I have it all in my vehicle right now.” So I asked him to go ahead. Less than 2 hours later, our entire restaurant staff was getting 150Mbps-200Mbps all over the restaurant. Credit cards were approved twice as fast, and order entry was eased by the faster connectivity.  We really weren’t expecting him to show up prepared to deploy a brand new network immediately, but Brian is well prepared to serve his customers on short notice. Brian came in several times since just to check on us and we have had nothing but compliments from staff since the upgrade.

Circuit Genius recently completed a Wi-Fi and Sonos system install in my 3-level townhouse.  We needed strong Wi-Fi on all three floors, plus hard-wired internet in our concrete bunker of an unfinished basement.

Circuit Genius (aka Brian) offered a solution that lets us move between floors while our wireless devices automatically switch between three wireless transmitters broadcasting a single Wi-Fi network; much like the commercial systems you see in office buildings. Brian was also able to set-up a secondary “guest” network that isolates our devices from our guests. And the equipment is mounted to the wall in a closet or behind furniture, giving us an uncluttered look. It is the perfect solution for us!

Brian’s communication and scheduling is professional. He arrived promptly when we’d scheduled. He was clear and up-front about equipment pricing and hourly rate. He accurately estimated time-frames for the installation and could tell me up-front how much time would be needed for additional services I added to the job. He also makes himself available for post-install phone consultation and trouble-shooting. I appreciate that he’s there to back up the service and products he sells in the long-term.

A bonus is that Circuit Genius is also a Sonos distributor. Brian was able to quickly get me up to speed with the Sonos app and we were playing music through my system about 5 minutes after he arrived. I am delighted to have found and worked with Brian at Circuit Genius.  He was fantastic to work with from start to finish — flexible, knowledgeable, practical, efficient and honest.  From my first conversation with him, I knew that I was in great hands.  I needed some help with getting a hardwired residential ethernet connection to a remote part of the house and was originally considering running wiring.  Brian directed me to a far easier and significantly cheaper method of achieving what I wanted to do (running it over the existing cable coax wiring).  I feel that many companies would have taken the opportunity to try and upsell to a full house ethernet wiring, but Brian is an honest guy with a high level of integrity.  His solution was absolutely the right solution for us.  I feel that the mark of an excellent service provide is not only in what they do for you, but also in what they tell you not to do (in this case, because it was overkill for the job).
